Effect of mangiferin on human lens cells

Aim: Study the therapeutic effects of action of mangiferin.
Method: FHL124 was chosen to represent the cells within the eye. Real-time PCR and MTT test were applied. GSH was also measured.
Result: Mangiferin protected FHL124 cells from GSH depletion by diamide as proved by MTT reduction test. Real time Taqman PCR showed that the expression of antioxidation genes were upregulated.
Conclusion: Mangiferin can pretect human lens cells from oxidation |
